Attenborough Medical manufactures medical devices to the highest standard, being ISO13485:2016, ISO9001:2015, DAMAS and IIP Accredited.
In recent years, we have invested heavily in the latest, innovative technology such as the latest 3D medical imaging, scanning and custom manufacturing techniques. Utilising these advances has allowed expansion to include bespoke medical implants such as custom maxillofacial devices, subperiosteal implants, mandibular implants, orbital implants, custom-made artificial joints, extra aural devices, intra and extraocular devices, artificial heart valves and spinal implants.
Attenborough Medical has recently won the Queen's Award for innovation for our medical technology advances.
MEET OUR TEAM
Ed is current CEO of the Attenborough group originally formed 100 years ago, he is a board member of the ADDE (Association of Dental Dealers Europe), represents the dental sector for UK Trade and Investment, is on the Life Sciences Sector steering committee of Innovate UK, is past president of the BDIA, and has served on the GDC Education Committee.
Ed holds a BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Leeds and has over 20 years industry experience in major ICT projects. He has been responsible for the development and management of a variety of large projects in organisations throughout Europe including NATO, the European Space Agency and financial institutions. Ed pioneered digital dentistry with the UK's first in-house scanning and manufacturing facility. He led a team which undertook R+D in the application of additive manufacturing techniques to dental technology. In 2006 Attenborough won the prestigious EMDA Medilink New Technology Award for the results of the revolutionary Daedalus Project. Ed has numerous articles published on Digital Dentistry and is a regular speaker at all the major UK dental conferences and exhibitions.
MEET OUR TEAM
Jensen Aw (Jensen) has graduated as Bachelor of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering with first class Honours. Most recently as part of his 4th year PhD, he developed an inverse material properties measurement modelling approach, to predict the material properties of the Medical and rubber-like material (Hydrogel) with indentation bending test using ABAQUS simulation software.
Jensen has experience of Mechanical and Material structural Finite Element Analysis using ABAQUS Commercial software and able to generate a large number of material parameters prediction using programming skill to create FE scripting(Python Script) techniques.
Currently working for Attenborough Dental Laboratories Ltd. Job role including design and validation of patient-specific implant device, medical devices, 3D modelling of soft and hard tissues, Additive and Subtractive Manufacturing of patient-specific implants, Imaging processing and 3D printing technique. Jensen is working alongside Ed in the development of Attenborough Dental's offspring company, Attenborough Medical.
